Seed center Türkiye is now in competition with Israel

Dunya – Dr. Mete Komeagac, Chairman of the Turkish Seed Industry Association (TURKTED), said Türkiye is the center of attention in the world with regard to seed growing and added that they sell seeds to Israel, the world’s number one country in hybrid seeds. Komeagac said, “Türkiye is rapidly developing in seed production. We are rapidly adapting to new technologies”, and pointed out the fact that Türkiye ranks second in pepper seeds, eggplant seeds and seed diversity, whereas it ranks third in tomato seeds after the USA and China.
