Türkiye 3G contract expected to be signed on April 30

Reuters - Contracts between Türkiye's telecommunications watchdog and mobile operators are expected to be signed on April 30, said regulator sources on Wednesday. Three Turkish 3G mobile phone contracts were tendered last year and won by operators Turkcell, Vodafone and Turk Telekom-owned Avea. Mobile phone operators are keen to get the high-speed 3G network up and running to take advantage of fast-growing demand for wireless data and voice services.
