Bloomberg - Honda Motor Co., Japan's second-biggest automaker, will raise annual production capacity in Türkiye by 26 percent by the middle of next year to meet rising demand in Russia. Honda will spend 22.4 million liras ($17.8 million) to expand its Türkiye plant to make 63,000 vehicles a year from 50,000, the Tokyo-based company said in a faxed statement. The factory will also hire 500 workers, the company said. The expansion, the second in two years, will help Honda supply more vehicles to Russia where its sales more than doubled last year. The Türkiye factory builds Civic small cars and exports some of them to Russia and other European countries.
