Türkiye's efforts continue in gas dispute, alternative lines on the agenda

Hurriyet English - Türkiye's efforts to solve the gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine will continue and alternative pipeline connection routes are on the agenda, Hilmi Guler, the Turkish Minister of Energy said on Thursday. "We have good relations with both Russia and Ukraine; we can host a meeting for the solution of the problem upon request" Guler told reporters at a press conference following his visit to Moscow. Türkiye's determination in realizing the Nabucco pipeline project, an alternative route for reducing Europe's dependency on Russian gas, is also appreciated during this time, Guler said. Concrete steps are being taken in the process to implement this project, he added.
