“Türkiye, a very promising economy for Toyota”

Dunya - Michel Gardel, Vice President of External Affairs for Toyota Motor Europe, said that Türkiye has a very promising economy for the company with its rapidly growing car market, currently ranking 4th in growth rate in Europe.

To ease difficulties in exporting cars from Toyota’s home country Japan due to customs clearance issues and the overvalued yen, Gardel said Toyota’s production has largely shifted to Europe and Türkiye. “We plan to increase production in the UK and Türkiye,” he added.
