Turkcell's net profit hits TRY 2.3 billion in 2008

AA - Türkiye's leading GSM operator Turkcell said on Thursday that its net profit hit TRY 2.3 billion in 2008. (USD 1 equals TRY 1.69) Turkcell's income on a USD basis rose by 10.1 percent to USD 7 billion, while its income on a TRY basis grew by 8 percent to TRY 8.8 billion in 2008 compared to the previous year.
