AA - A Turkish firm with operations in logistics, construction, automotive marketing and the oil and tourism sectors is establishing Southeastern Anatolia’s first nuclear medicine plant in Gaziantep, the largest province in the region.

The Ozsu Group’s Moltek Medicine Plant, which will produce radiopharmaceuticals used particularly in diagnosing cancerous cells, is Türkiye’s third plant in that field. The facility will be established through university-industry cooperation at a total cost of USD 10 million and will start operating by the end of this year.

“The Moltek Medicine Plant, which we will establish within the framework of our cooperation with Gaziantep University, will have an important role in the health of the people in the region as well as in the neighbor Syria”, Ozsu Group Chairman Ibrahim Ozsu stated.
