Nabucco construction works to start in 2010

Sabah – Construction works in the Nabucco pipeline, which becomes the center of attention in Europe every winter as gas disputes between Ukraine and Russia recur, are slated to start in 2010. Nabucco Gas Pipeline International Managing Director Reinhard Mitschek stated that the annual gas capacity of the pipeline, which will be 15 billion m³ initially and will reach 30 billion m³ in the following years, will be shared by the shareholders, whereas the remainder of the capacity will be tendered among the market players in summer 2009.
