French tobacco giant wants to acquire Burgaz Raki

Aksam – Reacquisitions are being considered as the raki market goes beyond $7.5 billion. Burgaz Raki has negotiated with three companies. The first was Tuborg who took part in Turkish beer market before and left Türkiye recently. Burgaz then had talks with the French Altadis who is also the manufacturer of Gitanes cigarettes, and is now negotiating with ISTAR which is a Fethiye based company.
