USD 5 billion investment in mining

Gunboyu - Mehmet Hamdi Yildirim, General Manager of Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources - General Directorate of Mining Affairs (MIGEM), said, “A substantial increase has been observed in production, exports, employment, foreign investment, drilling, mining leases, mining drilling and tenders. Significant steps have been taken in every aspect of mining in recent years. USD 5 billion has been invested during 2003-2008”.
